All year round alpine rental equipment
Our Alpine Rental and Ski Shop is the place to go for all the gear you need on our mountains, whether you're skiing, snowboarding, hiking or just exploring. Our summer shop offers hiking gear and boots rentals, shuttle bookings and free day parking. In winter, we are a full ski and snowboard shop, hire and workshop with one of the largest selections of gear in the North Island. Winter and summer we are here to ensure you are equipped to have a fantastic time on Mt Ruapehu and in the Tongariro National Park.
IN WINTER
Our rental store offers the most competitively priced rental equipment - skis, snowboards, jackets, pants, helmets and goggles, gloves, sledges and après boots. Our rental gear is always maintain and well looked after. Clothing sizes range from 0 to 6XL, for all the family, shapes and ages. We have our own custom iPad based software system which makes renting quick and easy ensuring you get more time on the snow.
Our shop has a huge selection of snow gear, including leading brands of apparel, helmets, goggles, skis, snowboards, boots and everything you need and want for the snow. Also custom boot fitting and foot-beds. Check out instore or go to our online Shop.
Our Workshop is fully equipped for ski and snowboard tuning including our Wintersteiger Stone Grinder and Ceramic Base edger. We offer overnight tuning most days throughout the season.

Monday – Thursday 7.30am - 7pm
Friday’s 7.30am - 12am midnight
Saturday & Sunday 7.30 - 7pm
IN SUMMER
Our Summer Shop is open 7 days for renting and sales of Hiking gear. We rent hiking boots, rain jackets and pants, hiking poles, back packs, child carriers, also ice axes and crampons for between seasons. Also, Tongariro Alpine Crossing Shuttle bookings and free day parking.
E-BIKE HIRE (NEW)
We have added a couple of e-bikes to hire for a few hours or ½ day and explore the local area or nearby trails.
